Bhubaneswar: Odisha currently has a total of 685 police stations, with 17,761 sanctioned posts across these stations, as informed by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in the state assembly on Monday.
In response to a query from Jeypore MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati, CM Majhi provided detailed information regarding the vacancies within the police force.
He stated that out of the total sanctioned posts, 13 positions in the ‘A’ category, 485 positions in the ‘B’ category, and 3,376 positions in the ‘C’ category remain vacant.
