Bhubaneswar: Odisha has sufficient crude oil supplies and there is no shortage in the state, Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra said on Saturday. He urged the public not to panic or rely on misleading reports circulating on television regarding the Middle East conflict.
“There is enough crude oil in the state. Please do not believe false information on TV channels or social media. Oil is arriving from Russia, and our supplies are adequate,” Minister Patra said.
He also dismissed reports of long queues at petrol pumps, calling them untrue, and assured citizens that authorities are monitoring black market activities closely.
“We are keeping a close watch on the distribution of crude oil and other daily necessities. Any irregularities will be addressed immediately. I request everyone to remain calm and trust only official sources,” the minister added.
Patra emphasised that the state government is continuously monitoring stock levels and supply chains to ensure smooth availability. He called on people not to hoard crude oil and said that there is no reason for concern regarding shortages in Odisha.
