Bhubaneswar: The State Government is prepared to handle the dengue cases reported across Odisha so far. Health Minister Naba Das said that the Department is taking stock of the situation and the hospitals have been asked to treat dengue patients on priority basis.

"We have sufficient hospitals and medical infrastructure to take care of the patients. The Department is keeping a close watch on the situation," he said.

Capital Hospital Director Dr Ashok Patnaik said that the premier Government hospital of Bhubaneswar is fully equipped and mannd to handle dengue cases.

"We have a separate ward for dengue. A part of this is under repair which will be completed soon. The actual as well as potential cases of dengue are being monitored closely," he said.

There is no reason to panic as of now as the cases are being reported from all across the State and not from a particular area which would indicate towards an epidemic, he added.
