Bhubaneswar: Odisha Health Minister Dr Mukesh Mahaling attended a state-level workshop on mental health organised by Basic Needs India, Bangalore, at the Health Directorate Conference Hall in Bhubaneswar. The workshop focused on managing mental health, particularly in dealing with stress, depression, and bipolar disorders.
The discussion highlighted the importance of using positive thoughts to manage stress and mental illness. Participants shared examples of overcoming stress and mental anguish, emphasising the need to eliminate negative thoughts and cultivate a positive mindset.
Representatives from districts such as Balangir, Bargarh, Angul, Subarnapur, and Kandhamal shared their personal experiences of overcoming mental health challenges. The workshop provided a platform for discussing effective strategies for mental health management and promoting overall well-being.
