Bhubaneswar: In pursuance of the instructions given by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Health & Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das today visited ailing Khurda MLA Jyotirindra Nath Mitra in a Mumbai hospital.

Mitra is critical and has been admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute in Mumbai.

Besides the Odisha Health Minister, Chilika MLA Prashanta Kumar Jagdev and senior BJD leader-cum-former Mumbai Police Commissioner Arup Patnaik also visited Mitra and enquired about his health condition and status of treatment.

Expressing concerns over the health condition of the three-time Khurda MLA (popular as Jitu Mitra), Odisha Chief Minister has directed Health Minister Naba Kishore Das to ensure best treatment for Mitra and has also instructed that all his medical expenses will be borne by the State Government.

So far, the Odisha Government has released Rs 20 lakh towards the treatment of the Khurda MLA.
