Odisha Hikes Allowances For Fire Services & Emergency Services Personnel

Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Tuesday revised the various allowances to Odisha Fire & Emergency personnel of different ranks. As per a notification issued by the state government today, the revision/ extension were under the consideration for some time and they have been approved after careful revision.

The house rent allowance for Fireman Havildars and equivalent ranks of Odisha Fire & Emergency Service who are staying in barracks and not provided with residential accommodation in line with other state government servants at the rate fixed by the state government shall be decided on the basis of place of posting of the Odisha Fire & Emergency Service personnel irrespective of the place of actual deployment.

Special diet allowance allowed to Fire & Emergency Service personnel in the rank of Fireman, Havildars and equivalent ranks has been enhanced from Rs 900 per month to Rs 1,400 per month.

Motor cycle allowance/mobility allowance earlier allowed to Station Officer and Assistant Fire Officer has been extended to Assistant Station Officer and equivalent ranks and has been enhanced from Rs 300 per month to Rs 1,050 per month. Mobility allowance allowed to Fire & Emergency Service personnel in the rank of Fireman, Havildars and equivalent ranks has been enhanced from Rs 150 per month to Rs 300 per month.

Risk Allowance allowed to Fire & Emergency Service personnel from the rank of Fireman up to Assistant Fire Officer has been enhanced from Rs 400 per month to Rs l,000 per month.

This will be effective from the date of issue of the resolution.
