Bhubaneswar: The fares for all categories of passenger buses were increased in Odisha on Monday in wake of the hike in diesel price by oil marketing companies (OMCs).
Reportedly, the bus fare was hiked under the State Government’s automatic fare adjustment mechanism.
As per the mechanism, the price in Ordinary and Express buses was increased by 1 paisa per km while that for Deluxe and AC Deluxe category buses was increased by 2 paise per km.
