Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup: France Team Arrives, Confident Of Stellar Show

**Bhubaneswar:** The France men’s team, ranked World No 20, for the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2018 landed at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar today afternoon. The living arrangements for the France team has been made at Hotel Swosti, informed officials.

“Hockey India welcomes France! The French team have arrived in Bhubaneswar for the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2018 on 22nd November 2018 and are all set to begin their third Men’s Hockey World Cup campaign,” tweeted Hockey India.

The France team is in Pool A along with Argentina, New Zealand and Spain. It will be facing New Zealand on November 29, the first day of World Cup.

Sharing his plans for the team, head coach Jereon Delmee said, “We are the lowest ranked team in the World Cup and our goal is to get to the top 10. So we will be aiming to at least qualify to the next round. I think we have really good preparation for that and we are ready for it. I would like to mention that we had finished second in the World Cup under 20 in Delhi a few years ago. These players have now grown and have become more skilled now.”

As per official reports, World No 17 Team China to arrive today late night while World No 8 Spain Team is slated to land here tomorrow morning.
