**Bhubaneswar:** In a bizarre and condemnable incident, a 10-year-old girl has allegedly been raped by her own father under the influence of alcohol here on Monday following which the victim’s mother has lodged a complaint at the Capital Police Station here on Wednesday.
Reportedly, the man was under the influence of alcohol while committing the heinous crime and forced himself on her daughter when she was sleeping.
After the girl revealed about the whole incident to her mother, the mother lodged a complaint with the Capital Police following which the PCR team have rescued the victim and the accused father has been arrested.
DCP Anup Kumar Sahoo informed, “The victim’s medical tests have been completed and after the medical examination of the accused, we will forward him to the court”.
The police are further investigating into the matter.
