Odisha HSC Results Announced: 94.93% Pass, 3,273 Schools Score 100%

Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha on Friday announced the results of the 2025 High School Certificate (HSC) examinations, with an impressive 3,273 high schools across the state achieving a 100% pass rate.

School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond shared the results today, highlighting the strong performance of government schools in this year’s matriculation exams.

Of the 3,273 schools with perfect results, 1,802 are government high schools, 1,154 are government-aided, and 317 are unaided institutions. “Government schools have outperformed aided and unaided schools in terms of pass percentage, and notably, no school in the state recorded a zero percent result this year,” Minister Gond stated.

A total of 5,02,417 students appeared for the 2025 HSC exams, with 4,84,863 successfully clearing the tests, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 94.93%. Out of them, 2,44,612 girls passed, while 2,40,291 boys passed. The pass percentage for girls was 96%, while the pass percentage for boys was 94%.

This year’s pass percentage is slightly lower than last year’s pass rate of 96.27%, when 5,29,209 out of 5,39,152 students passed the exams.

This year, 17,384 students failed to clear the exams, compared to 9,701 in 2024, according to BSE data.

The Minister commended the efforts of students, teachers, and school administrations for their dedication, particularly in government schools, which led the way in achieving outstanding results. The BSE’s efforts to ensure a fair and efficient examination process were also acknowledged.
