Bhubaneswar: Rajesh Patil, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Cooperation Department, Government of Odisha, has successfully completed the IRONMAN 70.3 challenge at the IRONMAN 70.3 Goa event held on November 8.
The gruelling race comprised a 1.9 km open-water swim, 90 km cycling, and a 21.1 km run along Goa’s scenic yet humid coastline.
The IRONMAN 70.3 Goa event saw participation from over 1,500 athletes from more than 25 countries, making it a showcase of global athletic spirit, discipline, and resilience.

Patil, who has completed the IRONMAN 70.3 for the second time, improved his overall timing compared to his previous attempt, thanks to focused training, scientific pacing, and strengthened endurance capacity.
Patil expressed his gratitude to his family, friends, colleagues, and the broader fitness community for their support and encouragement throughout his preparation and participation.
In another notable achievement, Manoj Prusty from Bhubaneswar Cycling and Adventure Club (BCAC) completed his maiden Ironman, finishing the IRONMAN 70.3 Goa challenge in an impressive 7:28:53.
Prusty’s remarkable performance includes a swimming split of 44:33 minutes, a bike time of 3:34:12, and a run time of 2:53:32.
