Odisha Inks MoU With JK Trust for rural development

**Bhubaneswar:** In a bid to boost rural development activities in 13 tribal-dominated districts in the state, Odisha government on Tuesday signed a tripartite agreement with J.K. Trust Gram Vikas Yojana.

The significant MoU was inked under the Rashtriya Krushi Vikash Yojana (RKVY) in presence of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment, Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Minister Pradeep Maharathy at the State Secretariat here.

After signing of the agreement, Maharathy informed that the Cattle Breed & Small Ruminant Improvement Project (CBSRIP), with a project cost of Rs 1,285 lakh, will be implemented in 13 tribal-dominated districts of the state benefitting 510 gram panchayats (GPs) of the backward and tribal-populated rural pockets through 510 Integrated Livestock Development Centres (ILDCs).

Notably, the project was passed on March 17 this year at the 19th State Level Sanctioning Committee (SLSC) of RKVY chaired by the Chief Secretary.
