Odisha: Investment Proposals Worth Over Rs 563 Cr Get Single Window Clearance
Bhubaneswar: In another step towards the creation of employment opportunities in the State, the Odisha government today approved two investment proposals envisaging an investment of around Rs 563.60 crore that will generate employment opportunities for 1273 persons.
The proposals approved in State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) were from the downstream sector, said an official press release of the State government.
The approved projects include the proposal of Glen Industries Pvt Ltd to set up a plastic food container and molded paper products unit at Paradeep Plastic Park with an investment of Rs 63.60 crore and a project of Jindal Aluminium Ltd to set up 75,000 MT per annum aluminium extrusion plant at Angul Aluminium Park with an investment of Rs 500.00 crore, the release added.
The release stated that two projects will create employment opportunities for 273 and 1,000 persons respectively.
The SLSWCA meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy at the Lokseva Bhawan wherein Principal Secretary, Industry Hemant Sharma outlined the project proposals for consideration.
Giving in-principle approval to the projects, Tripathy directed IPICOL to nominate Relationship Manager for the investors for necessary support and handholding.
Concerned departments were also asked to provide proactive and facilitating support for early grounding of the projects.
Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Principal Secretary Finance Ashok Kumar Meena, Principal Secretary Water Resources Surendra Kumar, CMD IDCO Sanjay Kumar Singh, Secretary Electronics & IT Manoj Kumar Mishra, M D IPICOL Nitin Bhanudas Jawale, Member Secretary Pollution Control Board Debidatta Biswal, CGM IPICOL Kalyan Mohanty along with other senior officers of different departments took part in the deliberations at the meeting.
