**Bhubaneswar:** Close on the heels of the IAS Officers Association lending a helping hand to the Kerala flood victims, the State’s IPS Association has also pledged one-day salary of its members for the flood victims in the southernmost state of the country.
The press note released by the association mention, “Our heart goes out to the people of Kerala whose spirit of hope could not be diminished by the floods that have wreaked havoc.”
“We empathize with them in this hour of need and express our solidarity,” the note added.
Notably, the Odisha Chief Minster has already announced an additional assistance of Rs 5 crore for Kerala flood victims enhancing the humanitarian gesture to Rs 10 crore.
Special Relief Commissioner Bishnupada Sethi also informed today morning that Odisha people stranded in Kerala are being brought back safely by special trains.
