Bhubaneswar: As the Odisha Government has tightened up its belt to complete the already set target of vaccinating all registered health workers with the first dose by February 10, the drive is in full swing and the State has been claimed to have stolen a march over other States in the country.
This was revealed by Odisha Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Director Bijay Panigrahi today.
Speaking to media, H&FW Director said, “As per yesterday’s report, our State is in the first position at the national level in terms of vaccination achievement if compared with other States. Our vaccination programme is underway successfully.”
He informed, “The health workers who initially hesitated to be inoculated and had their charter of demands, they have also started getting vaccinated since yesterday.”
“Till yesterday, 1,94,058 health workers have been inoculated. The rest 1,44,642 health workers will be administered vaccine by February 10 as we have targeted to cover up all of them with the first dose,” he stressed.
