Bhubaneswar: IT and Communications Department Minister Tusharkanti Behera has left for a two-day tour to Bengaluru today. Behera will hold discussions with IT majors and prepare a strategy on improving infrastructure in Odisha.
According to the Department, significant meetings are on the cards pertaining to Make in Odisha event and attracting investments to Odisha.
On Monday, Behera will call on his Karnataka counterpart, Ashwath Narayan, who is also the Deputy Chief Minister. He is scheduled to visit Texas Instruments in the afternoon and meet senior executives of IT companies in the evening.
“More of such visit and interactions will be facilitated in the coming days. The plan is to transform Odisha into an IT hub. We are also focusing on job creation in IT sector in the State,” Behera said.
