**Bhubaneswar:** Former judge of Orissa High Court Justice Raghubir Dash has been appointed as the member of Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) by Governor Ganeshi Lal today.
A notification by Law Department stated, “In exercise to the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of the Section 22 of the Protection of Human Rights Act (Act 10 of 1994), the Governor of Odisha is pleased to appoint Sri Raghubir Dash, former judge of Orissa High Court (Retired) to be the Member of Odisha Human Rights Commission with effect from the date he assumes charge of this office.”
Reportedly, the State government had recommended names for the posts of OHRC members and Chairperson for selection to the Governor on December 20.
It may be noted here that Justice Das was earlier this year appointed to head the probe into the Puri Srimandir Ratna Bhandar keys missing case.
