Jaipatna: Police claims to have solved the murder mystery of a 17-year-old student Kailash Majhi who was recently bludgeoned to death in Kalahandi district, with the arrest of two youths.

The body of Kailash had been found lying abandoned on the fields of Dumerguda village under Jaipatna police limits of the district on October 27.

Jaipatna police during probe found the deceased youth was in a one-sided love affair with a girl and had also proposed her.

On getting the information, the girl's brothers, Paresh Thakur and Rupesh Thakur, from Bijmara village were in search of an opportunity and finally killed Kailash while he had gone for morning walk.

Dharamgarh SDPO Surendranath Satpathy in a press meet today informed the accused have confessed to the crime.
