Odisha Likely To Experience Hotter & Humid Days, Warmer Nights

Bhubaneswar: Hot and humid weather conditions are very likely to prevail across the state from April 2 to 6, 2024 due to the anticipated rise in maximum temperature, the presence of high humidity in the atmosphere, the regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here said in its mid-day bulletin on Sunday.

The weather office has advised people to take precautionary measures for hot and humid weather conditions while going outside during peak hours of the day (around 1100 Hrs to 1500 Hrs IST) during the mentioned period.

According to the IMD, the maximum temperatures (day temperature) is very likely to fall by 3°C-4°C

during the next 24 hours and rise by 4°C-5°C at many places during the subsequent two days and no large change thereafter over the districts of Odisha. No large change in minimum temperatures (night temperature) during the next two days and a gradual rise by 2°C-3°C at many places during the subsequent three days.

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places in Nuapada, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Boudh, Khurda, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kendrapara, Nabarangpur and dry weather very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha.

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places in Nuapada, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Boudh, Khurda, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kendrapara, Nabarangpur and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha.

Day 2: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 01.04.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 02.04.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 3: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 02.04.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 03.04.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

YELLOW WARNING (BE UPDATED): Warm night conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places in Kalahandi, Bolangir, Boudh, Sonepur, and Malkangiri.

Day 4: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 03.04.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 04.04.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

YELLOW WARNING (BE UPDATED):

Warm night conditions will likely prevail at one or two places in Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Boudh, Sonepur, Nayagarh, and Malkangiri.

Day 5: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 04.04.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 05.04.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

YELLOW WARNING (BE UPDATED): Warm night conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places in Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Boudh, Sonepur, Nayagarh, Khurda, Malkangiri, and Nabarangpur.

Day 6: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 05.04.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 06.04.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 7: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 06.04.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 07.04.2024)

Light rain/thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places in Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, & dry weather very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha.
