Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has issued a forecast indicating that Odisha is likely to experience heavy rainfall in September, with two low-pressure systems expected to form over the Bay of Bengal.
According to the regional weather department’s prediction, the first low-pressure system may develop around September 3 over the northwest Bay of Bengal and move in a west-northwest direction. This system is expected to intensify into a depression by September 5.
The weather department has released a forecast for the next two weeks, predicting that the state may expect significant rainfall during this period. The second low-pressure system is expected to form towards the end of the second week of September, around September 10 or 11.
As per the detailed forecast, Odisha may experience heavy rainfall between August 31 and September 3.
