Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Monday reported 4,829 fresh Covid-19 cases taking the active caseload in the state to 20,560, according to the State Information and Public Relations department.
Out of the new cases, 2823 were detected in quarantine while 2006 are local contact cases. As many as 448 children below 18 years were tested as positive for Covid.
With the addition of new Covid infections, the total cases in Odisha have now reached 10,75,698. The State’s test positivity now stands at 6.49%.
The highest of 933 cases were reported from Khordha district, followed by Sundergarh (869), and Sambalpur (644). Below is the district-wise breakup of new cases:
