Odisha: Man ‘Murdered’ By In-Laws In Ganjam

**Berhampur:** Soon after the body of a man in a bleeding state was found in Bhanjanagar area’s powerhouse square today, his family members have alleged that he was murdered by his in-laws over a family dispute.

The deceased has been identified as Kedar Patra of Bhejiput village. 10 years back, Kedar had tied the knot with one Kanya Kumari of Brahmani village in Kandhamal.

The couple had three daughters out of the wedlock and was involved in a cloth business for their livelihood. However, the duo had been fighting over some family issue in the past few months following which Kedar’s wife had moved away to her maternal house.

As per the deceased’s family members, Kedar had gone to his in-laws’ house in Kandhamal district on December 24 for resolving dispute with his wife and to meet his daughters.

However in shocking turn of events, his body was found today with injuries on neck, back and throat. On intimation, cops sent the body for post-mortem and launched investigation into the incident after the deceased’s younger brother filed a complaint.
