Bhubaneswar: In a bizarre incident, Gura Munda (30) of Ranki village in Odisha’s Keonjhar, who was bitten by a cobra, was taken to a hospital here for snake-bite treatment along with the snake that bit him.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Thursday when Gura was working on his poultry farm, driving chickens and fowls into the hen house. Accidentally, he stepped on a cobra, which bit him on the leg. Gura’s screams led the villagers to rush to his rescue and traced the snake. They rushed Gura to the Keonjhar District Hospital along with the cobra captured in a sack.
Doctors at the hospital attended to Gura, while the cobra was handed over to the Forest department. Forest personnel released the snake into the jungle nearby.
