Bhubaneswar: An Odisha-based migrant labourer died in a mishap at Pune in Maharashtra.
The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Buddhadev Mendeli, son of Hiramani Mendeli.
Hailing from Subarnapur, Buddhadev had been working as a migrant worker in Pune for the last three years. He fell from a roof while working. He was rushed to a hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
His body was sent for post-mortem after Buddhadev’s family reached Pune. The deceased’s father Hiramani, meanwhile, wrote to the Labour Department of the Odisha government urging it to bring Buddhadev’s body to his village in Odisha for his last rites.
