Bhubaneswar: Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd. (OMC) has achieved a significant milestone in FY 2025–26, recording highest ever mineral production of 44.82 million tones. The Corporation’s iron ore production in the fiscal also registered highest ever output of 40.02 million tonnes, a growth of 12.06% Y-o-Y.
Chrome ore production during the year stood at 1.69 million tonnes, while bauxite production reached 2.83 million tonnes, with mines meeting their production targets through improved operational efficiency, better coordination, and focused execution.
The overall sales of minerals stood at 42.524 million tonnes during FY 2025–26, contributing to the Corporation achieving its highest ever revenue of ₹25,300 crore (provisional), reflecting the Corporation’s effort in creating industrial ecosystem in the State and propelling the economic growth of the State as well as the Country.
OMC continues to place strong emphasis on scientific and sustainable mining practices, including environmental management, dust suppression systems, afforestation, water conservation and adoption of modern IT-driven technology for safe and efficient mining operations.
Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, OMC continues to work towards development of communities in mining areas with focused interventions in healthcare, education, drinking water, sanitation, livelihood promotion, skill development, and rural infrastructure, contributing to inclusive growth in the region.
