**Keonjhar: ** District Police on Wednesday arrested Senior BJD leader and Odisha’s School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra’s son Debashish Patra on charges of attacking police on Tuesday night (September 18).
As per sources, the officials of Ramchandrapur police arrested Debashish from Tangi area in Cuttack after conducting raids at different places.
Notably, two cases were registered against seven persons, including the minister’s son, at Ghasipura police station for allegedly assaulting cops in a village.
Reportedly on Tuesday, the Ghasipur police team had gone to Padna village to arrest one Pradeep Sahoo in connection with an alleged group clash between BJD workers and Sana Sena activists.
Angry over the action by police Debasish and his associates attacked police officials near Padana Chhak.
