Bhubaneswar: School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash today expressed hope that the Covid-19 situation will improve after the Durga Puja vacation and the schools will reopen.
“Let us see, by the grace of God we should certainly hope that things will change after Puja and schools shall reopen. It will be appropriate to hope so,” said Minister School & Mass Education Samir Ranjan Dash.
Dash admitted that several students are being deprived of the benefit of online classes and his Department is concerned about that.
Worth mentioning, classroom teaching for Class 9 students have resumed in the State from August 16 with strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols.
Similarly, physical classes for Class 10 and Class 12 were earlier allowed to reopen in July.
Students are allowed to attend the classes either through online mode or offline mode in consultation with their parents.
However, attendance is not mandatory in offline mode.
