Odisha: Miscreants Shoot At CMS Employee, Flee With Rs 7 Lakh In Paradip

**Paradip:** In an incident of daylight robbery, some miscreants shot at a CMS (Cash Management Services) employee near IFFCO square here today afternoon and fled with around Rs 7 lakh cash.

The incident occurred today afternoon in the Sahoo complex at IFFCO square when the victim, identified as Sanjay Das, was on his way for cash pickup along with a guard. The two miscreants intercepted his way and tried to snatch the bag from him. When Das did not let go off the bag, the miscreants fired at his left leg. Then they hit the revolver on Das’ head and snatched the bag from him.

According to Das, the bag had more than Rs 7 lakh cash in it. He was rushed to Paradip Port Trust Hospital for first aid and was later shifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar for further treatment.

Meanwhile, cops of Paradip Model police station reached the spot and further investigating into the matter.
