**Berhampur:** The decomposed body of a missing youth was found buried in the backyard of a house in Badagumula village today morning here.
The deceased youth, who has been identified as Bishnuprasad Gouda, a private bank employee of Bania village, had gone missing since August 18.
Following that, Gouda’s family had filed a missing complaint in both
Baidyanathpur and Khallikote police station. Along with other villagers, they had also conveyed their grievances to the district collector.
A special team had been formed by the SP and after more than 20 days of searching, the body was finally unearthed today from the backyard of a doctor’s house in Badagumula village.
The cops have detained one Ganga Behera in connection with the case. Behera was employed as a helper in a Berhampur clinic owned by a doctor named Hrushikesh Tripathy.
According to the statement given by Behera, Tripathy had allegedly murdered Gouda in his clinic and had then asked him (Behera) to find a place to hide the body. Behera took the body and buried it in Tripathy’s house backyard. The both even built a latrine tank on the spot to fool the police.
While the exact reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, police sources suggest that the murder might have been the result of a love triangle dispute as Gouda was involved in an affair with a lady doctor.
Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt to nab the other persons involved.
