Malkangiri: Mutilated body of a minor boy was found floating in Sileru river in Chitrakonda area of Malkangiri district today morning. The family members have claimed that the minor was attacked by a crocodile as it is known to have attacked a few animals in the past.
As per reports, the boy was taking a bath in the river yesterday and then went missing. His family launched a search operation but failed to find him.
Again, today morning, his body with severe injuries floated to the river bank. The minor’s family has claimed that he was attacked by one of the three crocodiles that sometimes come to the river bank. Supporting their claims, they added that the crocodiles are known to attack in the past and have killed goats and cows previously.
The forest and police department are investigating the matter.
