Odisha: Nigerian Man Held For Duping Doctor In Angul

**Angul:** A Nigerian man, identified as Nicolas Kujoe (44), was arrested from Angul Railway Station last evening for duping a doctor of Rs 18.50 lakh.

Police seized Rs 18.50 lakh cash, passport and a mobile phone from the possession of Kujoe, who is a national of Ghana.

Reportedly, Dr. Mangal Charan Murmu, a pediatrician posted in Sishu Bhawan in Cuttack, had been allured by Nicolas of providing medical equipments at cheap prices. He had collected over Rs 18 lakh form Murmu for providing the same.

The duped doctor tried to trace the fraudster but he had already fled. Later, the doctor filed a police complaint following which cops raided Angul Railway Station on Wednesday and caught hold of Nicolas.

Nicolas had been residing in Mumbai on business VISA since October 2018, informed police officials and further investigation into the case is currently underway.
