**Bhubaneswar/Soro: ** A day after the sitting MP of Nabarangpur parliamentary constituency tendered his resignation from ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD), Odisha’s Nilgiri MLA Sukanta Kumar Nayak today tendered his resignation from the primary membership of BJD.
In his resignation letter addressed to BJD president Naveen Patnaik, Nayak has mentioned, “At the outset I must convey my heartfelt gratitude for making me the MLA of Nilgiri. However, a conspiracy has been hatched, which has been exhibited during the joining ceremony of a person ignoring me and who has been defeated during last election-2014 by a margin of 13000 votes.”
“To add to my disadvantages, the mental torture meted out to me by the District BJD president becomes unbearable day by day. This hurts me a lot for which I am tendering resignation from the Primary Membership which may kindly be accepted,” states the Nilgiri MLA.
On the other hand, hundreds of BJP and Congress workers from Bolangir parliamentary constituecy’s Loisingha assembly segment and many JMM workers form Mayurbhanj parliamentary constituency’s Rairangpur assembly segment joined BJD.
Today also former BJD leader Hussein Ravi Gandhi was back to his parent party’s fold at Naveen Niwas here in presence of the BJD president and Odisha Chief Minister.
