New Delhi: The Government of Odisha successfully hosted an Ambassadors’ Meet at ITC Maurya in New Delhi’s Diplomatic Enclave. This key event sets the stage for the highly anticipated Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025.
The meet showcased Odisha’s vibrant industrial ecosystem and highlighted new investment opportunities to a global audience.
The Ambassadors’ Meet was a huge success, bringing together a diverse group of international dignitaries from 34 countries.
The attendees included Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Consul-Generals, Trade Commissioners, and senior diplomats from prominent nations such as Indonesia, Norway, Singapore, China, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, the USA, Thailand, Vietnam, and the UK.
In addition, nine foreign associations participated, reflecting the growing global interest in Odisha.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi delivered a warm keynote address, welcoming ambassadors and spotlighting Odisha’s rich heritage and strategic location as catalysts for its emergence as a premier investment hub.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the state’s abundant natural resources and skilled workforce, inviting all attendees to the upcoming Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, which will serve as a platform for collaboration and growth.
The event also included an interaction session where ambassadors engaged in discussions about opportunities in Odisha.
In his concluding remarks, Minister of Industries and Skill Development & Technical Education, Sampad Chandra Swain expressed gratitude to all participants. He reinforced Odisha’s vast potential for investment across various sectors and assured the ambassadors of the government’s commitment to creating a favourable business environment.
The Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja welcomed everyone and emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Odisha is quickly becoming a global investment destination. He spoke about the state’s strong infrastructure, rich resources, skilled workforce, and progressive policies. He invited global partners to explore the many opportunities available in industries, technology, tourism, and innovation.
The event also featured the release of a video about the Make in Odisha 2025 initiative, which showcased the potential of the state.
Hemant Sharma, the Principal Secretary of Industries, made a presentation highlighting various sectors that are open for investment.
Several notable speakers addressed the audience, including the Director General of FICCI Jyoti Vij, who talked about the importance of collaboration.
The Joint Secretary (States) A. Ajay Kumar at the Ministry of External Affairs emphasized the central government’s support for Odisha’s development. Nivruti Rai, Managing Director of Invest India, discussed the investment trends in the region.
The Ambassadors’ Meet successfully set the stage for Odisha to position itself as a key player in attracting global investments.
