Angul: One person was injured after he received bullet injuries late Sunday night at Patrapada village under Chendipada police limits of Angul district. Group clash due to previous enmity is suspected
As per Police reports, about 9-10 youth arrived at one Dharanidhar Sahu’s residence and while he was not at home, they threatened his wife. They reportedly had sharp weapons on them. Sahu’s wife, Tillotama, informed her husband regarding the uncivil activities outside their house.
Upon arrival, Dharanidhar was attacked by the miscreants. Two rounds of shots were fired at him, of which he received a bullet on his right thigh. The miscreants fled the scene, said police reports.
In a bloodied state, Dharanidhar was first taken to Chendipada hospital and then to Angul DHH for treatment.
Chendipada police have initiated a probe and initial investigation suggests a previous enmity behind the clash. They have held two suspects who are being interrogated.
