Bhubaneswar: In a significant push towards women’s economic empowerment and financial independence, the Subhadra Yojana has expanded its outreach, with the Odisha government announcing a fresh window for new applications.
According to an official press note, eligible women who have not applied earlier can submit their applications through the Subhadra Portal from April 1 to April 30, 2026. The move aims to ensure that no deserving beneficiary is left out of the scheme.
Under the guidelines, applicants must be between 21 and 60 years of age as on April 1, 2026. Selected beneficiaries will receive financial assistance of ₹10,000 per year, disbursed in two installments, starting from the financial year 2026–27 and continuing for the duration of the scheme.
Officials clarified that only fresh applicants will be considered during this window, and applications from women who have already applied earlier will not be accepted.
To facilitate smooth enrollment, the government has enabled registration through Common Service Centres (CSCs) and Ama Seva Kendras (ASKs) across the state. Additionally, application forms will be provided free of cost at all Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) and offices of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO).
Describing the initiative as a landmark step, the state government reiterated its commitment to strengthening women’s financial security and self-reliance, while ensuring wider inclusion under the scheme.
