Odia Girl Indrakshi Pattanaik Bags National Film Award For Costume Design In 'Mahanati'

Bhubaneswar: Odisha origin girl Indrakshi Pattanaik bagged the National Award in 'Best Costume' category for Telugu film 'Mahanati' at the 66th National Film Awards announced on Friday.

As per reports, Indrakshi was in Kolkata to watch her husband Nitin Malik's live concert when Malik shared the news with her via WhatsApp. Joyous Indrakshi could not believe the news and was in tears. Years of work for creative satisfaction had finally bore fruit for her.

Born to Odia father Tapan Krishna Pattanaik and Bengali mother Vaswati Pattanaik, Indrakshi frequently visits Bhubaneswar to meet her relatives living in Tankapani Road area.

Indrakshi graduated from Symbiosis Institute of Design and did her Masters from Polimoda International Institute of Fashion Design in Italy. She was the costume assistant for Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet and has also styled Telugu star Chiranjeevi in Khaidi No 150.

It is notable to mention here that 'Mahanati' has bagged the Best Telugu Film (Regional) award and the Best Actress (Keerthy Suresh) as well.
