Angul: In a shocking incident, a teacher of Rajadanga School in Kishorenagar block of Angul district, who was appointed as the Presiding Officer of a booth in Banarpal block for the first phase of the three-tier panchayat polls died of cardiac arrest today.
According to reports, the deceased identified as Suvendu Kumar Nayak accompanied by his son was on his way to Banarpal early in the morning at around 4 AM to join duty at the booth when he suffered cardiac arrest leading to his death.
Nayak was rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Kishorenagar where he was declared dead by the attending doctors.
