**Dhenkanal:** In a tragic incident, a middle-aged man undergoing treatment in Dhenkanal’s District Headquarters Hospital died after falling from the fourth floor of the hospital.
The deceased has been identified as Khageswar Bhola of Haridapasi village under Sadar police limits in the district.
According to Bhola’s family members, he had been admitted in the hospital late last night after complaining of stomach pain and gastritis.
His mother Kholana Bhola said, “At around 4 am in the morning, my son started shivering and moaning in pain. I asked for an injection so that he could get some rest. On administering the injection, he started shivering even more. Somehow, we put him to sleep but after an hour he wanted to go to the washroom and that his when the mishap happened.”
On the other hand, relative Bebina Jena said, “His was mentally unstable. The hospital authorities shouldn’t have put him in a bed next to an open window on the fourth floor.”
The exact reason of his death is yet to be ascertained. On being informed, police reached the spot and started a probe into the matter.
