Odisha Phase-IV Polls: BJD Urges CEO For CCTV, Extra Force Deployment In Kendrapada’s Sensitive Booths

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today requested the Chief Electoral Officer of Odisha for installation of CCTV cameras and deployment of additional security forces in 31 Gram Panchayats/Wards and 91 sensitive booths of Kendrapada assembly constituency in the Kendrapada Lok Sabha constituency.

BJD in its petition has mentioned, “We have confidentially learnt that goons have been planning for booth capturing in 31 Gram Panchayats/Wards and 91 sensitive booths. We request you to install CCTV Cameras as well as deploy additional security forces in these sensitive booths to ensure that a free and fair election can take place.”

Urging immediate intervention in this regard, the petition of the BJD further states, “Please find attached the list of Gram Panchayats/Wards and the corresponding sensitive booths along with the submission filed in this regard by the election agent of the BJD MLA candidate for Kendrapada assembly constituency Sashi Bhusan Behera with the Election Officer of the Kendrapada assembly constituency.”
