**Berhampur:** In a tragic and heart-rending incident, a migrant labourer of Ganjam district has allegedly died under mysterious circumstances far away from home in Oman.

While his body has reached home after untold sufferings undergone and concerted efforts made by the bereft kin, it is without a post mortem report following which they demand it here being done and attribute the premature death to physical and mental torture inflicted on him by the company he was employed.

Most pathetic is that he was married a year ago and blessed with a seven-day-old baby boy, but got deprived of the divine bliss.

The deceased has been identified as Hari Krushna Nayak (45) of Digipur village under Rangeilunda block in Ganjam district.

Hari Krushna was working in Muscat as a plumber for the past three months.

While he moved to Oman on February 28 this year, he unfortunately died on June 1.

However, the sad news of his death was conveyed to his family on June 7.

There was dispute with regards to shipping of the body from Oman following which his family urged Higher Education Minister Pradeep Panigrahi (Gopalpur MLA of the district) and the two visiting Union Ministers Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Hansraj Gangaram Ahir during the Vikash Utsav of BJP there.

The efforts bore fruit, but the body has reached without any post mortem report.

The aggrieved family demands an autopsy as they suspect torture by the company.
