Odisha Police To Enhance COVID-19 Enforcement In Twin City

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police DG Abhay on Thursday chaired a meeting with Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, DCPs of the Twin City, IGP (L&O) and AIGP (Headquarters) to review the Covid-19 enforcement work in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

Providing 50 more officers and five platoons more armed Police to twin city to enhance enforcement and to divide Bhubaneswar into three zones for purpose of COVID enforcement with one DCP looking after each zone, are some major decisions taken in the meeting.

It was further decided to intensify enforcement in market areas and specified hot spots (which keep changing from weekend to weekdays) and to seek public co-operation by an awareness drive.

Other major decisions were that twin city police will collect more PPE kits and face shields from State Central Store and encourage their personnel to use the same and good care will be taken of Police personnel who are infected with COVID.
