Odisha: Pratap Sarangi Urges CM For Joint Probe In Aditya Dash Case
Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Pratap Sarangi has raised questions on the probe into the death of social worker Aditya Dash. At present the case is being investigated by the Government Railway Police (GRP) as Dash’s body was found on the tracks near Lingaraj Railway Station on July 7.
Sarangi in a letter to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik sought a joint probe by the Commissionerate of Police and GRP in this case. “I request you to kindly instruct the Police Commissioner, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack to take up the death of Aditya Dash with the GRP to carry out a joint investigation which is free and fair.”
“A prompt investigation into the cause of the death and exemplary punishment of those, if found guilty, will go a long way in restoring the people’s faith in the rule of law,” Sarangi’s letter to the Chief Minister read.
