Puri: Precious idol dating back to 12th century was found stolen from a temple in Delang’s Beraboi village on Monday night.
As per reports, the priests found the idol of ‘Maa Charchika’ missing from Brahmeswar temple when they reached the shrine for conducting rituals in the wee hours of Tuesday.
As soon as the news spread, IIC of Delang police station Rashmiranjan Patnaik and the SDPO reached the spot and began probe into the matter.
