Bhubaneswar: Four public sector undertakings (PSUs) under the Odisha government have collectively paid dividends totaling over Rs 205 crore to the state, reflecting their robust financial performance.
The Odisha Agro Industries Corporation and Odisha Cashew Development Corporation, under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, along with the Odisha Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC) and Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC), under the Energy Department, presented their dividend cheques to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
For the fiscal year 2022-23, the Odisha Agro Industries Corporation contributed Rs 1.35 crore, while the Odisha Cashew Development Corporation paid Rs 46.51 lakh. For 2023-24, the Odisha Power Generation Corporation delivered a substantial dividend of Rs 111.82 crore, and the Odisha Hydro Power Corporation added Rs 92.21 crore to the state’s coffers.
This significant financial contribution underscores the efficiency and profitability of Odisha’s PSUs, bolstering the state’s resources for development initiatives.
The dividends will support the government’s efforts to drive economic growth and enhance public welfare across the state.
