Bhubaneswar: Odisha is ready to lead India’s industrial revolution, asserted Minister of Industries and Skill Development & Technical Education, Sampad Chandra Swain on Saturday.

Addressing a presser here ahead of the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, Swain stated, “This is not just an investment summit but a transformative journey for Odisha. The state is ready to lead India’s industrial revolution and invites industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators to explore its immense potential and participate in this journey to turn dreams into reality”.

The summit, scheduled for January 28-29 at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar, will bring together global business leaders such as Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anil Agarwal, Sajjan Jindal, Karan Adani, and TV Narendran.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event, accompanied by Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram, and Ashwini Vaishnaw.

Swain emphasized that the event is a pivotal step toward achieving the vision of Samruddh Odisha 2036 and positioning the state as a global industrial hub, while also contributing to the national aspiration of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The state aims to attract ₹5 lakh crore in investments through the conclave, which will host over 7,500 delegates, including 100+ international representatives and diplomats from more than 20 countries. Partner nations such as Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia, along with delegations from Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, the UK, the USA, and Nepal, will lead discussions and foster collaborations.

The event will include thematic sessions on Start-Up Odisha, Skilled in Odisha, and Women Entrepreneurship, alongside CEO Roundtables, Women Leadership Roundtables, and Editors’ Roundtables. The Make in Odisha Expo, featuring 150 exhibitors, will showcase innovative products and solutions and will be open to the public on January 30.

Cultural highlights include performances by the Odisha Dance Academy and a medley by the Culture Department, concluding with spectacular drone shows blending tradition and technology on both days.

The conclave will spotlight key sectors such as technical textiles, downstream petrochemicals, specialty metals, film and media, renewable energy, green fuels, and the circular economy, underscoring Odisha’s commitment to sustainable development and global partnerships.
