Bhubaneswar: The upward trend in Covid-19 infection continues in Odisha as the state reported 393 fresh active cases in the last 24 hours from 5,421 samples tested since Monday.
The state reported 382 active cases during the previous 24 hours.
The highest number of fresh active Covid-19 cases were reported from Sundargarh district (125), followed by Sambalpur (71) and Cuttack (65).
The cumulative active Covid-19 caseload in the state now stands at 3,086. A total of 339 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 7.2%.
Meanwhile, the state government has made the usage of masks mandatory in all health facilities in Odisha in view of the surge in the daily Covid-19 caseload. Masks have also been made mandatory at all official meetings, congregations in closed rooms, and for people suffering from ailments similar to influenza.
