Bhubaneswar: With over four lakh beneficiaries vaccinated against Covid-19 today, Odisha today recorded the highest-ever number of beneficiaries vaccinated in a single day.
According to the data shared by the Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Department, a total of 4, 02,434 Covid vaccine doses were administered to eligible beneficiaries across the State today.
The H&FW department has stated that the last highest achievement was on June 21st when 3, 32,717 beneficiaries were administered with Covid vaccine doses.
A total of 1, 99,068 in the 18-44 years age group received the first dose, while 2,279 received the second dose.
Similarly, a total of 38,518 in the age group of 45 years and above received the first dose, while 1,61,692 received the second dose.
The vaccination programme was carried out at 1735 sites across the State out of which 162 were Covaxin sites.
According to the H&FW Department, so far 32, 47,969 (16.8%) in the 18-44 age group have received the first dose, while 1, 64,501 have received the second dose.
Similarly, so far 61, 46,967 ( 53.0 %) in the 45 years and above age group have received the first dose, while 18,17,132 have received the second dose.
Till date a total of 1, 24, 91,857 doses of vaccine have been administered in the State, H&FW Department data revealed.
As on date (July 5), 6, 14,400 doses of Covishield and 3, 51,260 doses of Covaxin supplied by the Government of India is available with the State.
The H&FW department has planned 1,488 sessions for tomorrow.
