Bhubaneswar: After light showers marring the chilly weather in the State, the cold wave has made a comeback with temperatures dropping a few notches all over. Sonepur remained coldest in the State where a minimum temperature of 4.8 degree Celsius was recorded.
Sonepur was followed by Phulbani where a minimum temperature of 5 was recorded, Titlagarh 6.5, Daringbadi 7.2, Jharsuguda 8.4, Keonjhar 8.8, Koraput 9, Bolangir 9, Bhawanipatna 9.3, Sundargarh 9.5, and Balasore, said the latest bulletin Regional Meteorological Department.
While Bhubaneswar witnesses coldest night yet this season with 11.3 degree Celsius; its twin, the city of Cuttack also a drop in temperatures after it recorded 10.2.
The bulletin also said the temperature will further drop by two-three degrees in next few days. Moreover, the districts of Kandhamal and Koraput can expect heavy fog.
