Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department of the Government of Odisha on Friday released the detailed timeline for Phase-II e-Admissions into Postgraduate (PG) courses for the academic session 2025-26 under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS). This phase applies to state public universities and colleges participating in the project, allowing students to provide fresh options and changes in the dateline for published admissions in the new academic year.
The process begins with the availability of the online Common Application Form (CAF) in the student login on the SAMS portal (www.samsodisha.gov.in) starting August 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM. The last date for submitting the online CAF is September 3, 2025, up to 11:45 PM.
Provisional allotment of seats for the first round, along with the list of waitlisted applicants, will be published on September 9, 2025, at 4:00 PM, based on vacancies as of September 3, 2025. Selected applicants must report with their downloaded intimation letter and pay admission fees online (via Net Banking, Bank Challan, NEFT, UPI, etc.) from September 10, 2025 (10:00 AM) to September 12, 2025 (5:00 PM). Institutions will update admitted student data in the e-space by September 12, 2025, at 11:45 PM.
Interested waitlisted applicants can physically report to their respective Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for submission of CAF and relevant documents from September 13, 2025 (10:00 AM) to September 15, 2025 (2:00 PM), excluding holidays. Applicants must appear in person, though a representative with valid ID proof may be permitted.
The merit list for reported waitlisted applicants will be published on HEI notice boards or websites on September 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with communication via phone call or SMS. Validation of documents, final admission, and fee collection for these applicants will occur from September 17, 2025 (10:00 AM) to September 20, 2025 (5:00 PM), with admission updates in the e-space.
