Odisha Reports 5 More Deaths, COVID-19 Toll Rises To 61

Bhubaneswar: Five COVID-19 patients died in Odisha within the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll due to the disease to 61, while 570 fresh cases pushed the tally to 12,526 in the State.

The latest tweet from the H&FW Department said that two from Ganjam and one each from Puri, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack succumbed to the novel coronavirus.

With this, the COVID-19 death toll in Ganjam district climbed to 36. Nine deaths have been reported from Khordha, six from Cuttack, two from Puri and one each was reported from Angul, Gajapati, Kendrapada, Rayagada, Sundergarh, and Bargarh.

In addition to these five, another COVID-19 patient passed away due to pre-existing comorbid conditions. This toll has risen to 18.
